To comply with FAA Regulations, the RECUV has submitted 60 certificate of authorization (CoA) applications for an area covering Northeastern Colorado and portions of Kansas and Nebraska. The applications detail the operational plan and emergency procedures for the system along with detailing the airworthiness of the aerial platform.
The map below shows all of the intended areas of operations. The "Validated" CoA applications will hopefully be approved for the 2009 operations. The "Pending" CoA applications have been submitted for approval, but due to time constraints probably won't be approved by the FAA until the 2010 operations.
